Ambassador Profile

Hey future engineering Vols!

My name is Ainsley Holliday (she/her), and I am a junior majoring in biomedical engineering on the pre-medicine track here at the University of Tennessee. I was born and raised in Memphis, TN, but now, I am proud to call Knoxville my home away from home. However, I have not been a volunteer fan since birth. Up until the last several years of my life, Knoxville was a foreign place to me, and the color orange did not suit me--or so I thought. I spent my senior year of high school applying to numerous engineering programs across the country, adamantly trying to avoid going to a school in-state. Luckily, I gave Knoxville and the University of Tennessee a chance. Very quickly it came to my attention that UT was the only place I would find the kind of community I so desperately wanted. Specifically, the Tickle College of Engineering, RUF campus ministry, and Greek life have served as supportive, empowering, and close-knit communities of mine over the past two years.
