Hello future Vols!
I am Bianca Candelaria! I was born in Corvallis, Oregon but moved across the continental United States to Cary, North Carolina during middle school. I am majoring in Mechanical Engineering and minoring in Maintainability and Reliability Engineering.
Tennessee is home to me not only because of our stunning campus but the amazing people that make up UT. Although I was a little hesitant to come to a school out of state, I have felt nothing less than at home. Here at the University, as well as being a Tickle Ambassador, I am involved and hold an Executive position of the Membership Chair for SHPE (Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers) which is one of the many organizations here on campus! This past summer I worked at Denso Manufacturing as a Process Engineering intern.
Growing up I was a competitive swimmer up until my freshman year of college. In my free time, I enjoy hopping back in the pool for a workout and have recently found a newfound excitement for running! I love going on hikes and outdoor adventures with friends. On Saturdays, you can find me shopping around the Farmers market in market square!
