Hello! My name is Bryn Tokarz and I am a sophomore in civil engineering. I am originally from Columbus, Ohio but my family moved to Indianapolis, Indiana about a year ago. On campus I am involved in The Society of Women Engineers (SWE), The American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) and I am a former member of Theta Tau (a professional co-ed engineering fraternity). In my free time I like to hang out with friends, walk around campus, listen to music and go to UT football games!
When I first toured UTK I fell in love. I almost instantly knew that this was going to be the place I called my home for the next four years. Moving out of state to a school where I didn’t know anyone was definitely a bit scary at first but within the first week of being on campus I had already found an amazing group of friends. I was part of the Engage LLC which was fantastic. It allowed me to make a lot of new friends who were in the same classes as me (and occasionally get help with homework if I was ever stuck).
