Ambassador Profile

Hello future Volunteers and welcome to Rocky Top!

My name is Henry Iduoze (Eee-Dwah-Zee), and I am from Nashville, TN majoring in mechanical engineering. Ever since elementary school, my favorite subjects were math and science. There was so much to learn and my young mind was eager to learn as many aspects as possible. The application and problem solving of math and science are what separated me from other STEM majors, and I want to be able to use what I learn in the classroom and apply it to the real world. The University of Tennessee is just the place to do it!

During my time in Knoxville, I have become a member of NSBE (National Society of Black Engineers) and TLSAMP (Tennessee Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation). I am also a STEAM mentor and volunteer within my respective organizations. When I'm not studying, I am singing Rocky Top at our football games and socializing with friends. You will soon find out that this is a balance that helps get you through school.

The University of Tennessee exposed me to many opportunities that I could not have gotten from other colleges and that is what makes this college unique and a great fit. From the rigorous but beneficial education to the lively and joyous game days, the university is truly one of a kind. The variety that the university offers will always keep you entertained and busy. Not only does the campus offer so much variety, but it is also home to many inspiring individuals that are glad and willing to help you!

If you have any more questions about the college of engineering or the university in general, please feel free to contact me. Thank you for considering the University of Tennessee as your next home and GO VOLS!
