Ambassador Profile

Hey future Vols!

My name is Anna Day, and I am a junior majoring in Biomedical Engineering with a minor in the Heath Integrated Business and Engineering Honors Program!

I am from Ken Caryl, Colorado and am so excited to be an Engineering Ambassador for the Tickle College of Engineering! Outside of being involved in engineering, I am a member of Alpha Delta Pi, a manager for the Men’s/Women’s Tennis Teams, and the Secretary of Club tennis!

Although I ended up at UT on a complete whim, I would not have traded that for anything. Being a part of the TCE, I have not only felt so supported in my goals in the professional field but also in being involved in other clubs or societies that help me grow in other aspects. The way that the TCE is structured is very much success based with help around any corner you turn. Not only are the faculty and professors such great resources, they also always try to connect with students to help each individual succeed.

I was drawn to biomedical engineering after attending a required department fair that your first year engineering courses host every year. TCE allows so many opportunities to learn about each field of engineering to help each individual find what best fits their professional goals. For me personally, I hope to work for a company doing Medical Device Sales along with implementation training for the customers!

Coming from out-of-state seemed daunting at first, but the resources UT offers to help everyone get involved and feel plugged into the University. I cannot wait to meet so many prospective engineering students on Rocky Top and express more of my love for UT! Feel free to ask any questions no matter how many!

Go Vols!
