Hey Future Vols!
My name is Grace Carey, and I am a sophomore from outside of Chicago. In my free time, I love spending time with my friends and family, going on walks and runs, and, of course, attending as many UT sporting events as possible.
During my freshman year, I took a lot of the amazing clubs UT has to offer for granted and am looking forward to being much more involved this year. I am currently planning on being a TA for Engineering Fundamentals this Fall and am hoping to join some pre-health organizations as well.
I am currently studying on the pre-med track in biomedical engineering. I love UT so much from all the amazing opportunities it has given me to develop in my academic career and personally. Tennessee has truly empowered me as a woman in engineering and has been right there to support me every step of the way. The professors and TAs in all of my classes have been so supportive and understanding with any struggles I may have had and have always led me to success. The staff truly looks out for their students and wants to see everyone succeed.
I chose UT because of the amazing positive energy on campus from the students and the faculty. UT is truly the definition of school spirit, whether it be game days or Big Orange Fridays there is never a lack of orange. Everyone here is truly so proud to be a Vol. I am so excited to show everyone why I love Rocky Top and why more people should call it their home sweet home! Can't wait to see you all on Rocky Top!
