Ambassador Profile
Hello!
My name is Will Cuny, and I am a junior majoring in computer science here at the University of Tennessee. I’m originally from Greenville, South Carolina, but I wanted to come to UT because of the great opportunities and beautiful engineering campus.
Here at UT, I am involved in numerous extracurricular activities. As a freshman, I was involved in the Student Government Association as an At-Large Senator, and I was also a member of the Astronomy Club and the Association for Information Science and Technology. At the end of my sophomore year, I was appointed as a College of Engineering Senator for SGA, alongside being an Engineering Ambassador. I also recently joined the Association for Computing Machinery.
Two of my favorite classes in the Tickle College of Engineering have been EF 151 and 152, which every engineering student has the opportunity to take. In those classes I was able to meet so many of the people I am friends with today, and it is a great opportunity to broaden your skill set and pick a path that is right for you.
Outside of the classroom, I enjoy many outdoor activities such as hiking, camping, and fishing. This past spring break, I took a road trip to Arizona and Utah in a camper that I built myself, and was able to visit 8 national parks with my girlfriend. I also climbed the Grand Teton with my dad in summer 2019.
