Ambassador Profile

Hey future vols!

My name is Dalton Bone, and I am a junior currently pursuing a degree in biomedical engineering. I am from Union City, TN which is a very small town located in Northwest Tennessee. I spent most of my time growing up playing baseball and basketball. I also really enjoy hiking and fishing whenever I get the chance! I am also a part of the National Society of Leadership and Success here at UT. I am a member of their executive board and serve as the Director of Alumni Affairs.

This past summer I completed my first internship working at JTEKT in Vonore, TN. JTEKT is a global leader in both manufacturing and engineering bearing systems, automotive systems, and various high performance machine tools. I worked in their quality department working with quality, production, and mechanical engineers to aid in the design and production of various steering gear systems. I also used SolidWorks to create various designs, models, and drawings for the company.

My past two years here at UT have been some of the best years of my life. Being part of the Tickle College of Engineering has allowed me to meet so many new people and build relationships that will last a lifetime. Although I am an in-state student, traveling five hours across the state was very nerve wracking to me initially. However, within the first week I felt right at home here at UT thanks to all the welcoming faculty, staff, and students I met. The opportunities at UT are endless and I am confident that everyone can find something that is right for them. The Tickle College of Engineering has been one of my favorite experiences of college, and I am so excited for the remaining two years I have left at UT.

Please contact me with any questions you may have! I cannot wait to hopefully see y’all here on Rocky Top. Go Vols!
